Gay touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her former husbands, Charles Hardy Mead and Don W. Heppes; her sister Nancy Arends; and her parents, Virginia Holland and Kirk Holland.
She is survived by: her husband Chuck Mead; her children, William Mead, Holly Bottinelli and Michelle Schara (Matthew); her grandchildren, Madilynn Mead, Michael Mead and Laure Choi (Lugar); her great grandchild Theodore Uju; her children, Julien Bottinelli, Kendall, Marley and Elle Schara; her sister Sandra Nelson; her stepchildren, Lynn Hancock (Lin) and Carol German (Robert); her stepgrandchildren, David Hancock (Carissa), Ben (Anna), Isabelle, Katherine and Jack German; and also Simon Peter.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of River Forest (7551 Quick Ave, River Forest, IL 60305).
