He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Couser and Alice Couser (Mills); his brothers, Donnie Couser and Bobby Couser; his sister-in-law Charlene Couser; his son-in-law Tony Sauls; and his granddaughter Delaney Mayberry.
He is survived by: his wife Lola Couser (Hosman); and his children, Sonny Couser, Bud Couser (Lena), Wes Jackson (Tammy), Lora Sauls (late Tony) and Christe Hathaway (John).
