He was predeceased by: his parents, William Etten and Anna Etten (Weingart); his wife Elaine Freund; and his sons, William D. Etten and David J. Etten.
He is survived by: his daughter Nancy Emery (Howard); his daughter-in-law Kim Etten; and his grandchildren, Howard Emery (Dawn), Amanda Derylo (Maks), Bailey Malerany (Vlad), Bryce Etten, Brogan Etten and Brock Etten. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
