Michael Rullman Obituary
Michael Todd Rullman, 47, was born into this world on July 8th, 1971 and was born into eternal life on June 13th, 2019. Michael's time on earth was brief, but he lived life fully, graduating from Antioch High School, earning his associates degree in criminal justice from Gateway College and the Police Academy in Champagne Urbana, and learning from the school of Spence how to be a finish carpenter.
On October 7th, 2017 he married Emily, the love of his life. Michael lived life on his own accord. He felt deeply & strongly, he loved fiercely, he was a protector of all those he loved. His faith in God was something he clung to. His sense of humor was incredible. There was nothing he loved more than to be able to get a rise or pull something over on someone - all for a good laugh.
Michael was an incredibly hard worker, but knew the value of rest, too. He was a general contractor to the building trades and seemed to always know how to fix everything. He loved spending time with his family, days at the lake, fish fry's, Montana, kid's sports and traveling. And when life stressed him out, he'd vacuum. He was our Felix Unger.
He loved his Harley. There was nothing better than the wind in his face and a loud crack of the pipes under every overpass. Michael is survived by his adoring family: his wife Emily and six children, Justin, Kierssa (or Katie as he loved to call her), Jeremy, Jason, Zoe & Liam and his adored grandson Noah; his parents Billy & Linda; his sister and her husband, Beth and Bob; his brother and his wife, William and Dawn; and many dear aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, parents & siblings in-law, and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, his beloved grandparents and several close friends. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, June 21, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 10519 N. Main Street, Richmond, Illinois from 9:30 A.M. until 10:45A.M. A Service of Remembrance will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Monsignor Martin Heinz officiating.
