He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Benson and Violet Benson; his wife Lynne Schultz; and his brothers, Roger Lee Benson and Rodney Benson.
He is survived by: his adoptive daughters, Janel Bottalla (Joe), Maria Mallory (Jason), Ruby Gross (Robert) and Terese Paulson (Peter); his nieces, Melissa Bebo and Maria Bankenbush; and his nephew Jeff Benson.
