He is survived by: his children, Kelly Atkinson (Peter) of Delavan, Peggy Fitzgerald (Dan Lyons) of Woodstock, IL, Anne Lyons (James) of Round Lake, IL, Mary Eileen Tosi (Adam) of Twin Lakes, WI, Michael Fitzgerald (Dorothy) of Eau Claire, WI, Patrick Fitzgerald (Katherine) of Park City, IL and Timothy Fitzgerald-Wilk (Drew) of Orlando, FL; his grandchildren, Calie Lyons, Nick Lyons, Sarah Carter (Greg), Elsa Fitzgerald, Nathan Fitzgerald and Matthew Fitzgerald; his great grandchild Edith Carter; and his brothers, Gerald Fitzgerald of Grayslake, IL and Peter Fitzgerald (Shirley) of Deerfield, IL..
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home (10011 N Main St, Richmond, IL 60071). A Mass was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (10519 Main St, Richmond, IL 60071).
