He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Hertz and Mildred Hertz (Withaft); his wife Sondra Sullivan; and his parents-in-law, Vernon and Carolyn Sullivan (Tuttle).
He is survived by: his children, Jackie Staab (Rich) of Metamora, Mike Hertz (Shelley) of Buckingham, Carrie Beale (Michael) of Warrenville, Roxanne Turner (Joe) of Bourbonnais and Steve Hertz (Amy) of Buckingham; his grandchildren, Beka (Shane), Eric, Emily, Abigail (Evan), Victoria, Ana, Molly (Ben) and Alona; his great grandchildren, Caden, Emmie, Addie, Maleigha, Rosalie and Chase; his brother Roger Hertz (JoAnn) of Bonfield; his sisters-in-law, Jeannine Dunn, Karen Batdorf of Bourbonnais and Midge Kissack (Bill) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.; and his grandsons, Adam Turner, Gered, Kenny Hertz, Alex Staab, Luke Hertz and Bradley Beale.
