With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Koenigstein (Red Bud, Illinois), who passed away on November 11, 2019 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Koenigstein and Amanda Koenigstein (Dannenberg); and his sister Betty Hepp. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Liefer; his children, Kevin Koenigstein (Lillian) of Columbia, Gary Koenigstein (Karen) of Red Bud, Karen Montgomery (Michael) of Rockford and Sharon Koenigstein of Vicenza, Italy; his grandchildren, James, Loren, Kaitlyn Koenigstein, Zachary and Hunter Montgomery; and his siblings, Jean Bosworth, Faye Mehrmann (Dave) and Norman Koenigstein (Rosemary).
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Athens, IL, Trinity Lutheran Church, or Trinity Lutheran School in Red Bud, IL.
