It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Vogt (Red Bud, Illinois), born in Joppa, Illinois, who passed away on February 3, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Mathilda; his brother Paul Vogt; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Nilsson and Fred Kruse. He is survived by: his wife Norma Hanebutt; his children, Michael Vogt (Nancy) of Waterloo, IL, Barbara Jubera (Kevin) of Avon, CO and Mark Vogt (Shirley) of Red Bud; his grandchildren, Blake Vogt (Sandy), Andrew Vogt, Paul Vogt, Elizabeth Jubera, Matthew Jubera (Julie), Bethany Kazmierczak (Chris) and John Vogt (Heather); his great grandchildren, Max, Hunter, Evelyn, Petra, Mason, Jacob, Heidi, Gabriel, Veronica and Leonardo; his sisters, Anna Nilsson of Ames, IA and Verna Kruse of Havana, IL; and his sister-in-law Doris Vogt of Metropolis, IL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church or school .
