He was predeceased by: his father Earl Nurnberger; his stepparents, Olin Kettelkamp and Doris A. Nurnberger; and his father-in-law Oliver. He is survived by: his wife Luann Nurnberger; his children, Ryan Nurnberger (Meredith), Jaclyn Davis (Mitchell) and Rebecca Roustio (Timothy); his granddaughter Aria Davis; his siblings, Earline Johnson, Roger Nurnberger, Bonnie Wedel, Brenda Nelson (Mike), Sharon Kelley (Cletus) and Curt Miller (Chris); his siblings-in-law, James Stellhorn and Janet Braun (Bill); and the mother of his children Jane Nisinger. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or The American Heart Association .
