With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cornelius J McCarty of Red Bud, Illinois, who passed away on September 9, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd McCarty and Viola McCarty; and his wife Due. He is survived by: his children, Kathy Barbeau Red (Ron), Jim McCarty (Jeanie) of Virginia and Mike McCarty Red (Suzanne); his siblings, Paul McCarty Austin and Ruth Figura Belleville (Tom); his grandchildren, Megan Probst (Alan), Kelsey Barbeau Brock McCarty (Chris Sullivan) and Eve McCarty; his stepgrandchildren, Courtney Hoffman, Dakota Hoffman and Cooper DeSpain; his great grandchildren, Carter and Mila Probst; his stepgreat-grandson Mason Hoffman; and his close friend Darleen Scheffert Many. He is also survived by Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins.
Preceded in death by: Parents and his wife, Due to the public health concerns because of the COVID-19 pandemic, a private funeral mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Msgr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions can be made in Mac's memory to St. John the Baptist Catholic School or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and memorials are being accepted at the Pechacek Funeral Homes in Red Bud.
