He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence J. Fahey and Edna Fahey Sr.; his sister Madolyn Clark; his parents-in-law, John and Margaret Laughlin; his siblings-in-law, Robert Reinhold, Larry Berg, Donald Clark, John Laughlin Jr., Jim Laughlin and Sandra Laughlin; his children-in-law, Jim Murphy and Kristie Fahey; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Kloepper.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Fahey; his children, Maureen Murphy (Steven Ward), Clarence "Joe" Fahey III (Tracey), Daniel Fahey, John Fahey, Paul Fahey (Shelly) and Nicholas Fahey (Sara); his grandchildren, Col. Bryan Kloepper (Trinicia), Kate Crowe (Leo), Brandon Kloepper (Kelli), Kevin Murphy, Casey Wetherington (Steven), Jamie Davis, Nathan Frischkorn, Owen Fahey, Noah Fahey and Adam Fahey; his siblings, Denis Fahey (Kathy), Bernice Reinhold and Betty Berg; and his sister-in-law Margaret Chehardy (Lawrence). He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to: Hospice of Southern Illinois Ministry to the Sick & Aged or St. Johns Catholic Church.
