She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Thomas and Bernice Ida Malear (Spreitler); her husband Luther R. Hurst; and her brother Tommy Malear. She is survived by: her children, Kim Reinhardt (Tom) of Tilden and Tony Riley of Valparaiso, IN; and her siblings, Craig Malear (Sandy) of Waterloo, Bruce Malear (Cathy) of Sarasota, FL and Diane Rainwater (Doug) of Belleville.
Memorial donations are suggested to a local humane society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
