He was predeceased by: his parents, Avery Courtney and Irene Courtney (Barclay). He is survived by: his wife Karen Kaminski Courtney; his children, Jessica Cloe of Bethalto, Kari Brown (Kyle) of Lake County, Heather McGill of Litchfield, Haley Hatfield of Litchfield, Illinois and Ben Jackson of Palmyra, Illinois; and his siblings, Beverly Haygood (Pat) of Union City, Tennessee and Larry Courtney (Julia) of Arlington. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
