He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Sweat and Sally Sweat; his brothers, Floyd Sweat and Robert Sweat; and his son Larry.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Brent (Champaign); his children, William Jr. (Julie) and Debbra; his grandchildren, Derek Burns, Cody Sweat, Michelle Riley (Leon) and Jordan Sweat; his great grandchildren, Kyla, Kaesen Burns and Cameron Sweat; and his sister E. Vernette Koonce of Washington, DC.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
