He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Mingee and Marsha Mingee (Mahorney); his wife Mary Hammel; and his grandson Zachary. He is survived by: his children, Barb Theodoro, Lisa Mulvey (Steve) of Auburn, John (Brenda) of St. Joseph and Robert (Jennifer). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church (100 S Church St, Thomasboro, IL 61878). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
