It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Diss Sr. of Ransom, Illinois, born in Seneca, Illinois, who passed away on January 3, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Diss and Mary Diss; and his in-laws, Domenic and Mary Bottino. He is survived by: his wife Janet Diss; his brothers, Frank Diss (Sara) and Charley Diss (Barb); and his children, Barb Houston (Ottawa), Michele Armstrong (Pete Bray), John Diss Jr. (Grand Ridge), Jackie Serena (Gardner) and Sandy Kindred (Ottawa). He is also survived by his 10 grandkids, and 15 great grandkids.
