He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter "P. A." Derler and Bertha Derler (Huffman); his spouse Carylon C. Scott; his grandsons, Homer Caldwell and Kolten Hall; and his siblings, Frank Derler, Leroy Derler and Rose Michael.
He is survived by: his children, Edward Derler (Becky) of Pana, IL and Wendy Hall (Kirby) of Pana, IL; his granddaughters, Teri Hall of Pana, IL, Amanda Hall of Pana, IL and Brianna Caldwell of Pana, IL; his great grandchildren, Braylin Caldwell, Jaiden Trudeau, Mariah Trudeau and Rynlee Caldwell; and his sisters, Betty Dart, Judy Bergbower (Gene), Linda Latimer and Arlene Drown.
Memorials in Edward's honor may be made to Shriner's Hospital and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
