She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilson Rector and Frances Rector (Thoms); her husband Eldon Sam Hooker; her children, Gary Hooker, Brenda Majors and Valerie Kolacki; and her sister Donna.

She is survived by: her children, Rhonda (Dana Moore) of Decatur and Brian Hooker (Mary) of Ramsey; and her sisters, Joanne, Shelby and Rose. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Fayette County Cancer Fund.
