He is survived by: his wife Donieta Walker; his children, John Mitchell (Wendy) of Raleigh, Austin Mitchell (Meghan) of Raleigh and Ashley Plumlee (Matthew) of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Jay Mitchell (Kayla) of Galatia, Tristan Mitchell of Galatia, Hadleigh Plumlee of Harrisburg, Ansley Plumlee of Harrisburg, Rowan Plumlee of Harrisburg, Walker Mitchell of Raleigh, Sawyer Mitchell of Raleigh and Memphis Mitchell of Raleigh; his great grandchild Elizabeth Mitchell of Galatia; his sister Diane Ross of Galatia; and his father-in-law Charles Walker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, Raleigh Masonic Cemetery and The American Red Cross and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
