He was predeceased by: his parents, Bud Vessel and Mable Vessel (Carnahan); his wife Penelope Ingram; and his siblings, Buddy Vessel, Johnny Mac Vessel, Jack Vessel and Shirley Horton.
He is survived by: his children, James Victor Vessel of Raleigh, Kirk Allen Vessel (Natalie) of Paducah, Christian Royal Vessel (Kim) of Eldorado, Amber Lillian Floyd and Christina Lynn Vessel of Marion; and his sister Brenda Austin of Carrier Mills.
