He was predeceased by: his parents, D. R. Watkins and Myrtle I. Oberdahlhoff Watkins; his wife Marcia Voorhis; his daughter Stephanie; his stepson Jeff Eickelschulte; and his brother Jack Watkins.
He is survived by: his children, Jason Watkins (Emily) of Quincy and Janel Watkins (Brandon Miller) of Quincy; his grandchildren, Austin, Chandler, Margaret Watkins, Jackson Gibson, Tyshai and Tyrelle Eickelschulte; his great grandchild Julia; his sisters, Judy Veihl (Mike) of Quincy, Jill Cobb (Phil) of Quincy and Jann Harris (Lee) of Quincy; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Voorhis (Mary) of Quincy and Velma Holm of Seguin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
