He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Grussenmeyer and Mildred Grussenmeyer (Niekamp); his parents-in-law, Howard Walker and Dorothy Walker; and his sister-in-law Lori Kemner.
He is survived by: his daughters, Missy Brinkley (Darren) of Quincy, Theresa Alford (Bruce) of Quincy and Megan Hummelsheim of Quincy; his grandchildren, Gibson Brinkley (Cami) of Queens, NY, Delaney Brinkley (Colton) of Quincy, Dr. Owen Alford-Bichsel (Paige) of Quincy, Olivia Alford of Quincy and Ian Alford (Marcella) of Quincy; his great grandchildren, Wells and Mae Love; his son-in-law Matt Hummelsheim; and his siblings-in-law, Scott Walker (Karen), Sheila Hester and Dick Kemner. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home (823 Broadway St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Catholic Church (1721 College Ave, Quincy, IL 62301).
