It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Rae Cowell of Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on December 6, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Ruby Rae departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Ruby Rae. Though Ruby Rae may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Collins and Dora Collins of Stonington Colorado. She is survived by: her husband Charles E. Cowell; her children, Bill Cowell (Linda) of O'Fallon, MO and Annetta Phillipi (David) of Quincy, IL; and her grandsons, Luke Phillipi (Rebekah) of Aurora, CO, Paul Phillipi of Napa, CA and Stephen Phillipi of Louisville, KY..
