He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Willard and Gladys Louise White Pruitt; his wife Barbara Pearl Collingwood; his son Jeffrey Eugene Pruitt; his great grandchild Mackenzie Bowser; and his brother Marvin Pruitt.

He is survived by: his daughters, Jacquelyn Pruitt Kitzmiller of Quincy, IL, Jody Kay Henke of Nixa, MO and Janine Louise Hawkins of Montgomery, TX; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Pruitt, James Rowe, Sheila Bowser and Timothy Pruitt; his great grandchildren, Alecia, Jackson Bowser, Ava Rowe and Emmett Eugene Pruitt; and his brother Ric Pruitt (Dana).
