He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Phillip and Rosalie Jansen Sibbing; his parents-in-law, Darrell and Rosie Jennings; and his brothers-in-law, Ron Jennings and Jim Dawson.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Missy Mitchell (Tom) of Quincy and Matt Sibbing (Ellee) of Lee's Summit, MO; his grandchildren, Maddie of Lee's Summit, MO, Kylie of Lee's Summit, MO, Brady Sibbing of Lee's Summit, MO and Miles Mitchell of Quincy; his siblings, Mick Sibbing (Caryl) of Quincy, Tony Sibbing (Kelly), Eileen Sullivan (Roger) of Quincy and Sue Lewis (Rick) of La Grange, MO; and his siblings-in-law, Marvin Jennings (Barb) of Frankford, MO, Larry Jennings (Melinda Taylor) of Marion, IA, Julie Dawson of Kansas City, MO, Carol Fink (Tony) of Topeka, KS and Hazel Jennings of Atchison, KS. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home (1535 State St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
