He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Schell and Beatrice Markus Schell; his wife Leanne M. Bell; his daughter Lynn Schell; his grandson Adam Schell; and his great grandchild Grace Schell.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeffery Schell (Missy) of Brandford, CT, James Schell of Livingston, MT and Christopher Schell of Quincy, IL; and his grandchildren, Stacy Schell of Indiana, Dustin Schell (Holly) of Liberty, IL, Andrea Bardwell (Andrew) of Montana, Mark Schell (Sky) of Montana, Eric of Quincy, David Schell of Quincy, Megan Hudson (Jeremy) of Washington, Matt Schell (Miranda) of Connecticut and Jake Schell (Gina) of Connecticut. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
