She was predeceased by: her parents, Art Laake and Leona Laake (Engels); her husband Dr. Robert Wensing; and her brother Paul Laake. She is survived by: her children, Ronald Wensing (Barb) of Crown Point, IN, Michael Wensing of Quincy, James Wensing of Quincy, Katherine Schlepphorst (Jim) of Quincy and Mary Lou Hagemeier (Jeff) of Woodbury, MN.; her grandchildren, Ron Wensing, Lynn Argabright, Elizabeth Gall, Eric Schlepphorst (Katy), Tyler Hagemeier (Nicole), Matt Hagemeier, Megan Hagemeier and Anna Lovick (Ben); her great grandchildren, Cora, Sam Argabright, Caleb, Dylan, Brody, Audrey Gall, Braxton Schelpphorst, Ashton LeFleur, Quinn, Mia, Dez Hagemeier and Harper Lovick; her brother Richard Laake (Joann); and her sister-in-law Barb Laake.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home (823 Broadway St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Catholic Church (1721 College Ave, Quincy, IL 62301).
Memorials may be made to St. Francis Catholic Church, The Blessing Foundation for Hospice or to Birthright of Quincy.
