Joyce A. Peters Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 10, 2025, at the age of 90, Joyce A. Peters of Quincy, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vern Zimmerman and Rosalia Zimmerman (Rakers); her husband Theodore "Ted" Peters; and her siblings, Vern, Jr., Jerry Zimmerman and Janet Kroeger (Rory Holder).
She is survived by: her children, Annette Scholfield of Quincy, Stuart Peters (Kris) of Quincy, Marsha Knox (Sam) of Bloomington, IL and Brad Peters (Kim) of Chandler, AZ.; her grandchildren, Brett Scholfield of New York, NY, Kevin Scholfield of Phoenix, AZ, Brooks Scholfield of St. Louis, MO, Breanna Scholfield (Melynda) of Gilbert, AZ, Evan of Quincy, Sarah of Quincy, Olivia Peters of Quincy, Adam of Bloomington, IL, Emily of Bloomington, IL, Andy Knox of Bloomington, IL, Abbey of Chandler, AZ. and Blaine Peters of Chandler, AZ.; her stepgranddaughter Kara Koyer (C. J.) of Quincy; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Kayden of Quincy, Kolton of Quincy, Keagan Koyer of Quincy, Rhett of Gilbert, AZ., Van of Gilbert, AZ. and Beck Stock of Gilbert, AZ.. She is also survived by Brothers and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home (823 Broadway St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (1119 S 7th St, Quincy, IL 62301).
