He was predeceased by: his father Roy Hoaglin; his wife Mary Frances Oenning; his mother Florence Hoaglin Wilson (Carroll); and his siblings, Mary Lou Mitchell, Nancy Brown, Don Hoaglin, David Hoaglin, Helen Wiley and Rosemary Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Michael John Hoaglin (Mary) of Libertyville, IL and Mary Sue McMahon (Steve) of East Galesburg, IL; his grandchildren, Aubrey Magee (Greg) of Knoxville, IL and Stephanie McVey (Dan) of Knoxville, IL; and his great grandchildren, Kelsie, Tessa Magee, Hallack and Brielle McVey.
