He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Lee Downey Sr. and Violet Jerean Downey (Roberts); his sisters, Wilma Garr and Norma Jean Dochterman; his uncles, Leo Downey and Junior Quesenberry; his aunt Pat Quesenberry; and his brother-in-law James Dochterman.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Hollander; his daughter Jennifer Moore of Kansas City; his stepchildren, Carrie Klitz (Josh), Reid Hollander (Brenda) and Rachel St. Clair (Joe); his grandchild Zarren Moore; his stepgrandchildren, Jack, Dax, Carson, Ramsey, Phoebe, Ellie, Archer and Gwen; and his brother-in-law Harry "Poochie" Garr. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Great River Honor Flight.
