It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jerry A. Eberhardt of Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Eberhardt and Sarah "Sally" Eberhardt; his grandson Bradley Havermale; and his brother Bill Eberhardt. He is survived by: his wife Anita Stupasky; his children, David Eberhardt (Patricia), Lynn Hummel (Dave), Pam Havermale (Paul), Wendy Venvertloh (Steve) and Maria Sparrow (Shawn); his grandchildren, Jason Eberhardt, Samantha Casey (Justin), Elizabeth Bailey (Matt), Gregory Havermale (Katie), Michael Hummel (Samantha), Matthew Havermale (Lauren), Zachary Venvertloh (Shannon), Andrew Hummel (Chloe Arnsman), Ethan Venvertloh, Stephanie Plunkett (Reed), Carter Venvertloh, Stella Sparrow and Palmer Sparrow; and his sisters, Sally Rock and Patricia Brunier. He is also survived by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (2600 Maine St, Quincy, IL 62301).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the TEC program or Catholic Heart Work Camp which were both close to Jerry's heart.
