She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Grathwohl and Mary Jean Grathwohl (Pope); her brothers, Richard Grathwohl of Hyannis and John Grathwohl of Mount Pulaski, Illinois; her husband Carl; her grandson Shawn Steinman of New London, Missouri; and her son-in-law Gregory Dunn of Perryville, Missouri..

She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia Sue Steinman (Lee) of New London, Missouri, Vicky Lynn Steinkamp (Randy) of Foristell and Karen Kay Dunn (Colvin); and her pet Miss Murphy. She is also survived by grandchildren; twelve (12) great-grandchildren.

“Cindy and Lee: I'm so sorry to hear about Jan. My fondest memory of her is when she would make us go on a "Power Walk" with her at your lake house. She was always ahead of us girls and would look back and laugh at us. Her idea of a power walk was a little different than ours. I still can't believe we walked on that narrow road. She would always guilt us into joining her. She was a special person, and I know you will miss her. Sending hugs!!!”
