Janet (Schnellbacher) Tate Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet (Schnellbacher) Tate of Quincy, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 20, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Daniel and Helen Caroline Schnellbacher (Schaefer); her husband Lewis E. Tate; her daughter Lois Glasgow; and her grandson Richard Tate Glasgow.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Bower (David) of Ladoga, IN and Diana Sprich (Frank) of St. Louis, MO; her son-in-law Gary Glasgow of Canton, MO; her grandchildren, Janna Holberton (Matt), Julie Stopp (Todd), Jonathan Bower, Joseph Bower (Lauren), Christa Johnson (Joseph) and Frank Sprich III; and her sister-in-law Patricia Tate. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home (1435 State St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
