Geraldine left this world on November 4, 2024 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jed Smith and Ruby Smith (Bross); her son Rick Smith; and her siblings, Jerry Smith, Jimmy Smith and Irene Baskett.
She is survived by: her children, Rusty Smith (Carla) of Plainville, Melissa Smith of Pekin and Donetta Jansen (Jerry) of Plainville; her daughter-in-law Chris Smith; her grandchildren, Danny Smith (Amy), Darren Smith, Alyssa Richards (Jared), Erin Hilgenbrink (Adam), Syeira Scharhorst (Gage), Conner Pardieck (Katlyn), Logan Pardieck, Ashley Gallaher (Andy) and Austin Jansen; and her great grandchildren, Daniel Jr., Carlee, Ayden, Ford, Jett of Joselyn, J. D., Brantley, Lyle, Leon, Blaiklee, Beckett, Owen and Colt.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home (435 State St, Quincy, IL 62301). A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Greenmount Cemetery (1701 S 12th St, Quincy, IL 62301).
