He was predeceased by: his parents, William Frederick and Emma Wilhelmina Saeger (Bauch); his wife Arlene E. Wagner; and his siblings, Harold Saeger (Wilma), Kenneth Saeger (Norma), William Saeger (Arlene), Lucille Dearwester (Monte) and Irene Hunter (George).

He is survived by: his children, Alan T. Saeger of Quincy and Susan L. Saeger of Houston. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
