He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Esselman and Stella Esselman (Moore); his son Dennis; and his sisters, Joan Hayden (Harvey), Mary Baker (Albert) and Delores Schumer (Hillary).
He is survived by: his wife Rita Esselman (Moranville); his children, C. M., Deborah Harvey (Bob), Becki Esselman, Janice Kroeger (David), Edward Esselman (Bonnie Brod), John Esselman (Rebecca), Paul Esselman (Suzanne) and Julie Smith (Jerry); his brother Jerry Esselman (Wanda); and his grandchildren, Lenny Harvey, Claire Reid (Brian), Jessica Gosnell, Hannah Lamm (Will), Luke Esselman (Amanda), Samantha Jones (Matt), Gabrielle Esselman, Nicole Willis (Jessie), Allison Esselman, Emily Smith, Lauren Robinson (Casey) and Tyler Esselman.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church (1119 S 7th St, Quincy, IL 62301). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to either Congregation of the Mission or Blessed Sacrament Church.
