He was predeceased by: his parents, John Egbers and Mary Egbers (Mahoney); his brother John; his sister-in-law Margaret Egbers; and his sister Barbara Ann Egbers.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kay Davis; his children, David Eugene Egbers (Sonna) of Quincy and Kathy Hawk (Greg Miller) of Quincy; his grandchildren, Forrest Hawk (Breally Bunch) of Hollywood, CA, Kaitlyn Hawk (Tyler Barnard) of Liberty, IL, Garin Egbers of Quincy and Myla Egbers of Quincy; his great grandchildren, Easton and Everleigh Barnard of Liberty, IL; and his siblings, Carl Egbers (Terry) of Byron, MN, Eddie Egbers (Joyce) of Des Moines, IA and Mary Kay McCarthy (Bob) of Des Moines, IA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home (1435 State St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
