With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Dorothy Irene Wright of Quincy, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Dorothy Irene left this world on January 6, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Milbert A. Faler and Wilma L. Daggett Faler; her husband Richard G. Wright; her brother Melvin Faler; and her great grandchildren, Parker and Logan Wright.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Wright (Jill) of Palmetto, FL and Debi Gehring (Tom) of Quincy; her grandsons, Jason Wright (Nikki), Travis Wright (Kate), Quen Gehring (Laura), Blake Gehring (Sara) and Tim Gehring (Kristen); her great grandchildren, Owen, Cole, Makenzie, Dylan Wright, Forrest, Eppie and Jackson Gehring; and her sister Wanda Stone (Charles). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home (1535 State St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
