He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Altmix and Elizabeth Altmix (Metzger); his wife Ruth M. Peters; his sisters, Marjorie Bruening, Ruth Camden and Mary Jane Altmix; and his brother-in-law Julius Rupp.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Altmix (Rosa) of Evans, GA, Steve Altmix (Brenda) of Springfield, IL, Christine Miller (Dan) of Quincy and Greg Altmix (Chris) of Quincy; his grandchildren, Matt Altmix (Kate), Tiffany Altmix, Brooke Altmix, Adam Miller (Michelle), Nathan Miller (Darcy), Evan Miller, Emily Kientzle (Freddie), Alex Altmix (Montanna) and Jordan Altmix (Ashley); and his sister Carolyn Rupp. He is also survived by Numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Francis Catholic Church, Quincy Notre Dame High School or Liberty High School.
