The passing of Charles Marx of Quincy, Illinois, born in Hannibal, Missouri leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 10, 2024 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Marx and Margaret Barnes Marx; his son Joshua "Josh" Marx; and his parents-in-law, Jim and Dorothy Myers.
He is survived by: his wife Kathie Myers; his brother Mike Marx of Hannibal, MO; his sister-in-law Karrie Smith (Craig) of Quincy; his nephews, Tory Kaufmann of Quincy and Tyler Kaufmann (Devon) of Quincy; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Peyton, August, Vada and Fia Kaufmann.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home (1535 State St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
