Charles E. Smith Obituary

As Charles departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Charles. Though Charles may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford L. Smith and Goldie I. Smith (Moore); and his brother Rodney Smith. He is survived by: his children, Brian "Joe" Fox, Cecil Smith (Mary Ann) and Ellen Wellman (Jerry); and his sister-in-law Rose Smith. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home (435 State St, Quincy, IL 62301). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Greenmount Cemetery (1701 S 12th St, Quincy, IL 62301).
