He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Sohn and Catherine Sohn (Timpe); his wife Joyce Mitchell; and his siblings, Emil Sohn, Harold Sohn, Leroy Sohn, Ruth Lohman and Charlotte Neuman.

He is survived by: his children, Catherine Moore (Kenneth) of Alpharetta and Scott Sohn of Quincy.

Memorials may be made to the Great River Honor Flight.
