It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Charles Plichta Sr. of Prospect Heights, Illinois, born in Muskegon, Michigan, who passed away on December 13, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Frank Plichta and Margaret Louise Plichta (Vogt); his former wife LaVerne; and his siblings, Charles, Charlotte, Myrna and Carol.

He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline; his sons, Stephen Plichta Jr. (Tina) and Michael Plichta (Lisa); his siblings, Jim, John and Margaret; his grandchildren, Elena, Sonya, Joshua, Cole, Zachary, Jimmy, Linnea and Cyris; and his stepchildren, Jim Somerville (Kris) and Shari Somerville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
