He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph "Bud" Horstman and Rose Ann Runge Horstman; his brother Roger Horstman; his grandson Luke Andrew Wienckowski; and his wife Alice Hoag Horstman.

He is survived by: his daughters, Katheryn Horstman Bratt, Rhonda Horstman Purbaugh (Steve), Mary Alice Horstman and Barbara Horstman Wienckowski (Andy); his grandchildren, Nicholas Horstman Bratt (Kelsi), Kristina Bratt, Matthew Purbaugh (Janine) and Stephanie Purbaugh (Michael); his great grandchildren, Addison Bratt, Aiden Horstman Bratt and Ewan Purbaugh; and his brother Larry Horstman (Patti). He is also survived by his many adopted children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and devoted friends.
