It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Smith of Prospect Heights, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on June 18, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mannix and Frances Mannix; her husband Donald Smith; and her siblings, Marian Hinz (Russel), Betty Quinlisk (John) and James Mannix (Therese).
She is survived by: her children, Donald Jr. Smith (Cheryl), Robert Smith (Terry), Bernadette Colmone (Ron), Mary Ellen Mueller (Barry) and Joseph Smith (Mary Jayne); her grandchildren, Jennifer (Jake), Jessica (Paul), Brian (Nikki), Colleen, Julianne (Eric), Joe (Kathleen), Erin (Tommy), Patrick (Erin), Danny (Gracie), Katie (Pat), Kyle, Tim, Kevin, Michael, Shannon, Kelly and Ryan; and her great grandchildren, Ryan, Lincoln, Rowan, Brady, Riley, Taylor, Brooklynn, Dylan, Sawyer, Macie, Logan, Hayden and Brianna.
