It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Schaeffer of Prophetstown, Illinois, born in Milton, Iowa, who passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lial Jesse and Florence Elizabeth Humphrey (Baldwin); her children, Michelle and Jeffrey Alan Schaeffer; and her sisters, Shirley Baxter and Joanne Evans.
She is survived by: her husband Roger; her children, Nick Nelson (Amanda) of Sherrard, IL, Joe Schaeffer (Lana) of Charlestown, IN and Mary Harris of Pine, CO; her grandchildren, Teagan, Payton, Chloe Sue Nelson, Phil, Seth, Aaron, Marcus Schaeffer, Abbie Noriega and Hunter Dixon; and her sister Sandy Hainline of Bonaparte, IA.. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
