It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert E. Lauts of Prophetstown, Illinois, born in Sterling, Illinois, who passed away on April 16, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Paul Lauts. He is survived by: his mother Norma A. Lauts (Keener) of Rock Falls; his wife Sherry Lauts (Buhrow) of Prophetstown; his children, Joanne Bender of Carrollton, TX, Michelle Liebenstein of Aubrey, TX, Tyler Lauts of Prophetstown, Ryan Buckley of Dixon and Justin Buckley of Prophetstown; and his sisters, Susan Bittner of Pinellas Park, FL, Paula Johnson of Auburn, CA and Sheryl Lauts of St. Petersburg, FL. He is also survived by his sixteen grandchildren; and his two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Prophetstown Fire Department.
