With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Kirk D Blackert of Prophetstown, Illinois, born in Morrison, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon "Red" Jr. Blackert and Betty Jane Blackert (Pont); his sister Pam Kostner; and his great-nephew Noah DeRycke. He is survived by: his girlfriend Ann Hutchinson; his sisters, Cheryl DeRycke (John) and Angela Cantrell (Dean); his brother-in-law Jerry Kostner; his aunts and uncles, Adrianna Kleckner, Linda Billet, Ralph Blackert and Walt Blackert; his nephews, Cory, Adam, Dusty DeRycke, Matt Kostner, Ethan, Jacob and Seth Cantrell; and his niece Lisa Marshall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of your choosing or to the family of Kirk Blackert to be distributed amongst local charities.
