He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Sandrock and Aleda Sandrock (Anderson); his children, Glen Sandrock and Luann McDivitt; his grandson Anthony "Tony" Silva; his great grandchildren, Emma and Prudence McDivitt; and his sister Betty Lou Olsen.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Melton; his daughter Gwen Hurd (Chawn); and his sister Barbara Morphew of Silvis. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in his memory to the 1st Lutheran Church and the Prophetstown Fire Department.
